Single Malt Scottish Whisky from the Dailuaine Distillery
This page refers to Scottish Single Malts from the Dailuaine. Dailuaine distillery was built in 1851 by Willaim Mackenzie, but soon after this he died, and the distillery ownership was least to James Fleming, and after 14 years he went into partnership with the late owner's son. They rebuilt the distillery soon afterwards, and this distillery became one of the largest in the Highlands. Over the next hundred years, the distillery was destroyed by fire a few times and always rebuilt.
Today this distillery is still one of the biggest in this region and is part of the Diageo group. The whisky produced at this distillery is used in the Johnnie Walker blend as only 2% of the whisky produced is used in their malts. For more details about this distillery, please visit the Scottish Distillery page on this website with the letter D.
