Littlemill Scotch Whisky Distillery
Littlemill Aerial View
Littlemill Scotch Whisky Distillery was built in 1772 and was situated in the Lowlands of Scotland. The water source that this distillery used was Kilpatrick Springs. This distillery is now closed but was one of the oldest in Scotland, producing Littlemill 8 Year Old Single Malt, Littlemill 17 Year Old Single Malt and Littlemill 32 Year Old Single Malt.
When this distillery was open it was location very near Dumbarton at Bowling. It was sandwiched between the railway line and the River Clyde and joined the collection of distilleries that were located in this area on the Clyde. Sadly like the a couple of the others in a five mile stretch this distillery is no longer and just shows the competition that is on offer with the 'big boys'.
