Planet Whiskies this year is excited to be taking part in the annual Whisky Advent Calendar run down to Christmas 2018. It's going to be an exciting 24 days seeing what beauties are in this year's calendar.

Within the advent calendar this year we are expecting rare Scotch to award-winning drinks from individual distilleries throughout Scotland.

DAY 1 - 1st December 2018
The Lost Distilleries Blend - Batch 11 Vol 52.3%
From The Blended Whisky Company

Not sure what distilleries this blend comes from except they are now closed. To buy a full bottle of Batch 11 would cost in the region of £350.

DAY 2 - 2nd December 2018
The Exceptional Blend 1st Edition
By Sutcliffe & Son

So Day 2 of Advent, we have an exceptional blend from Sutcliffe & Son. The volume for this 3cl bottle is 43%.

DAY 3 - 3rd December 2018
Caol Ila 2004 (bottled 2016) Moscatel Cask Finish Distllers Edition

So Day 3 of Advent, we have our first Single Malt Scotch Whisky after have two blends the first two days. So Day 3 is a cracker, Caol Ila 12 year old with a Moscatel Cask Finish.

DAY 4 - 4th December 2018
Dewar's 12 Year Old The Ancestor Blended Scotch Whisky

So Day 4 of Advent, we have another blended whisky from Dewar's and it's a 12 year old called The Ancestor. The volume for this blended whisky is 40%.

DAY 5 - 5th December 2018
Dailuaine 15 year old - Batch 2

Day 5 we have a Single Malt from That Boutique-Y Whisky Company. It's a Dailuaine 15 Year Old - Batch 2. The volume for this Single Malt whisky whisky is 47.5%.

DAY 6 - 6th December 2018
Tamdhu Batch Strength - Batch 3 Vol 58.3%

On Day 6 we have a batch strength Single Malt from Tamdhu. The batch is 3 and the volume is 58.3%. Fantastic smell from this malt and one that I will be looking forward to tasting later.

DAY 7 - 7th December 2018
Fettercairn 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

On Day 7 the dram is a cracker as it's a Fettercairn 12 Year Old with at 40% Volumn. Will be looking forward to having this later today.

DAY 8 - 8th December 2018
Crabbie 8 Year Old Single Malt Whisky

On Day 8 we have Crabbie 8 Year Old. Never tried a Crabbie Single Malt before so excited to be able to try this later in the day. As it's a Saturday there will be no driving done today.

DAY 9 - 9th December 2018
Dailuaine 4 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

On Day 9 we have a Dailuaine 4 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky with a volume of 46%. This malt was bottled by Carn Mor Strictly Limited

DAY 10 - 10th December 2018
Kilchoman 2012 Wine Finish (cask 405) (bottled 2018)

On Day 10 we have a Kilchoman 2012 Wine Finish (cask 405) (bottled 2018). This was exclusively bottled for Drinks by the Dram and the volume is 56.9%

DAY 11 - 11th December 2018
Loch Lomond 12 Year Old Single Malt Scottish Whisky

On Day 11 we have a malt from the banks of Loch Lomond with their 12 Year Old Single Malt. This malt has a volume of 46%.

The Balvenie Peat Week 14 Year Old 2003 Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Day 12 is a cracker from The Balvenie Distillery and is a 14 Year Old Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The malt has a volume of 48.3%.

DAY 13 - 13th December 2018
Dalwhinnie 2002 (bottled 2017) Oloroso Cask Finish Distillers Edition

Day 13 is a Dalwhinnie 2002 with a bottle date of 2017. It was finished off in Oloroso Cask and has a volume of 43%.

DAY 14 - 14th December 2018
Glenfiddich 15 Year Old - Solers Scottish Single Malt

Day 14 brings us a Glenfiddich 15 Year Old - Solers Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The volume of this malt is 40%.

Glen Scotia Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Well, on Day 15 we have a Campbeltown Single Malt from Glen Scotia and its a Double Cask with a voume of 46%. This was bottled by Drinks By The Dram.

DAY 16 - 16th December 2018
Bruichladdich Scottish Barley The Classic Laddie

Day 16 is a Bruichladdich Scottish Barley The Classic Laddie Scottish Single Malt with a 50% volume. This was bottled by Drinks By The Dram.

DAY 17 - 17th December 2018
Bunnahabhain 11 Year Old Single Malt Whisky - Batch 9

Day 17 brings us a Islay malt, a Bunnahabhain 11 Year Old Single Malt Whisky which is Batch 9 of this version. The volume is a solid 49.5%. The bottlers is That Boutique-Y Whisky Company

DAY 18 - 18th December 2018
Scallywag Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Day 18 we have another blended whisky and this time it is from Scallwag. This blend has a 46% volume.

DAY 19 - 19th December 2018
Glengoyne 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Day 19 of advent we have one from a distillery only a few miles from Planet Whiskies HQ, 12 Year Old Glengoyne Single Malt. This malt has a 43% volume.

DAY 20 - 20th December 2018
Jura Seven Wood Single Malt Whisky

Well day 20 of the advent calendar is a Jura Seven Wood Single Malt Whisky with a volume of 42%.

DAY 21 - 21st December 2018
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old

With only a few days left, Day 21 is a Johnnie Walker Green Label Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. The volume is 43%

DAY 22 - 22nd December 2018
The Naked Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky Vol 40%

On day 22 we have another blended whisky, The Naked Grouse with a vol of 40%.

DAY 23 - 23rd December 2018
Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Single Malt Vol 58.7%

Second last day of the advent we have a classic 12 year old from Glenfarclas which was is a exclusive for Drinks of the Dram.

DAY 24 - 24th December 2018
The XL Blend Batch 1 Blended Scotch Whisky Vol 46.2%

The final day of this year's advent calander is The new XL Blend Batch 1 from the Blended Whisky Company.
