Jura Whisky proudly presents a new range of exceptional whiskies,each finished in a different Sherry cask

Our first release in the range is Jura 12 Year Old Oloroso Edition. Bottled at 46% ABV, with a natural colour and non-chill filtration, this expression not only evokes our distillery’s unique island spirit, it also reflects its full finish in Oloroso sherry. It has a sweet richness and a complex nuttiness that harmonises beautifully with our fruity and balanced house style.

This whisky begins on the Isle of Jura. Our light new make spirit with its flavours of stone fruit, aromatic and soft coastal qualities, is shaped, in part, by our tall and spacious copper pot stills. This is then matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and fully finished in a combination of American and European oak Oloroso sherry hogsheads.

In creating this release, our whisky makers were inspired by the Spanish culture of Sobremesa - the high value placed on spending quality time together. It’s an ethos we share: celebrating those shared moments and creating whiskies that bring people together.

For those who already love our fruity, balanced character, this whisky offers layers of prune, caramelised walnut and dried citrus. These rich flavours, combined with its 46% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtration, makes this is an exceptional whisky perfectly suited to the Sobremesa moment – best enjoyed after a meal, shared with great conversation.

Our pack design features not only our distinctive bottle silhouette and logo but also hints of Andalusian mosaic tiles in a nod to the Oloroso sherry finish. The deep burgundy colour evokes the spirit of Spain, while foiling and embossing give a tactile experience. This premium pack reflects the sophisticated whisky within, while the accessible price makes this whisky the perfect present for whisky lovers.

Last year, we launched our mission to make whisky more accessible, with clear age statements and straightforward tasting notes. Those picking up Jura 12 Year Old Oloroso Edition will find our ‘one of a kind’ tasting device on the back of packs that highlights Prune, Walnut and Dried Citrus as the three key flavours, making this an ideal whisky to share, enjoy or gift.

In September, Jura 15 Year Old Manzanilla Edition will be launched. Also available exclusively in specialist stores and online. This beautiful whisky has a natural colour and is non-chill-filtered. Finished in Manzanilla Sherry casks, this 15-year-old expression has enticing notes of zesty, aromatic citrus, almond and delicate sea spray.
