Straight from the Still

Greetings from hot and sunny Chicago!

Summer is here and the city is alive and buzzing. It feels like we did not have much of a spring here in the Midwest and suddenly the dog days of summer are here.

I have been busy with several Templeton events around the country. We had some great bartender events in San Francisco in early May and I then made my way to the Manhattan Cocktail Classic where I attended the gala and some great seminars. I also won a little croquet tournament. I returned to San Francisco last week as we sponsored the COCHON 555 event and had a SF Giants pub crawl.

In the meantime, I turned a year older this month along with another Templeton Rye executive. My travel is done for a while and I am looking forward to a great summer.

See you at the distillery for Rock & Rye and RAGBRAI on July 25th.

Templeton Rye garage sales

RAGBRAI update

Greetings from Templeton!

As most of you know, RAGBRAI will be coming past the Templeton Rye distillery on Monday, July 25. The entire Templeton Rye team is very excited to have the opportunity to showcase our product and our distillery during RAGBRAI. Yesterday, T.J. Juskiewicz, RAGBRAI Director, and several other riders stopped by the distillery on their pre-route inspection ride to check out everything at Templeton Rye. Click here to see what they experienced.

Smoking pieces and BBQ sauces are back!

The exceedingly popular Templeton Rye smoking pieces and BBQ sauce are back. The smoking pieces are three pounds of our charred American white oak barrels that have stored Templeton Rye Whiskey for at least four years. The smoking pieces add great flavor to smoked fish or meat, or a sweet scent to your cozy winter fire. Both items are only available at Des Moines area farmers markets. Below are the upcoming dates for Valley Junction and Downtown Des Moines:
