BenRiach Single Cask Releases

This is the 8th annual batch of single cask releases from BenRiach since we became independent in 2004. As with previous batches, each vintage is hand-numbered and bottled at cask strength, at natural colour and non chill filtered.

The new BenRiach batch boasts twelve special bottlings ranging from 18 to 40-years old.

GlenDronach Single Cask Releases

This is the 4th batch of single casks released by the distillery. The batch comprises of six exceptional casks from 1971 to 1994. Three bottles are matured in Pedro Ximenez Sherry Pucheons while the other three are matured in Oloroso Sherry Butts.

New Releases

GlenDronach Parliament

In the previous newsletter we gave a sneak preview into the tasting notes of this new release. This expression will be launched in September, so keep your eyes open for more news. 

BenRiach Firkin

If you have looked at our website or Facebook page in the last few weeks you might have seen that we are launching the exclusive BenRiach Firkin cask bottling. The cask yielded only 40 bottles of this special whisky. Will you be one of the lucky ones with a bottle?!

Donald Trump

GlenDronach is proud to have been selected by Donald Trump to supply the commemorative 25-year-old single malt that will mark the opening next summer of his golf complex in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This 'Trump Scotland Single Malt Scotch Whisky' will be released during the first half of 2012. 

Upcoming releases

In the coming months we will be launching some new peated BenRiach expressions. Please see a preview of the tasting notes of one of these expressions, Septendecim, a 17YO peated whisky:

Appearance:

Rich summer gold with a freshly harvested barley impression.

Nose:

A robust mix of fresh peaty aromas, constructed around a central core of apples and toasted nuts which have been dowsed in wild mountain honey. Full of energy and vibrancy.

Palate:

Sweet concentrated peat flavours dominate from the start. Bold and intense. The peaty heart is united with honey infused raisins and roasted nuts and a luxurious leather impression. Full bodied with fantastic length.

Conclusions:

A real heavyweight which will impart a lasting impression on the palate.
