Glengoyne releases new 20cl range in 10, 15 and 18 year olds - 17th July, 2013
Good things come in small packages and the same can be said of Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky as it unveils a new selection of 20cl bottlings from its stunning range of world-class malts.
The 10, 15 and 18yo malts, part of the repackaged and enhanced collection released last year, will be available in 20cl bottlings from July. The bottlings are expected to appeal to those whisky lovers looking for a more affordable but very high quality whisky, and are likely to prove popular for the gift market. The 21yo is expected to follow in time for Christmas.
Commenting on the bottlings, Iain Weir, Marketing Director for Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “20cl bottlings are growing in popularity as more and more consumers look for smaller variants. They are well-priced, great gifts and a fantastic introductory size to the range. We are pleased to be able to offer our consumers an alternative to the full size 70cl.”
Glengoyne is owned by Scotland’s leading, independent, family-owned distiller Ian Macleod Distillers. The 20cl malts have been hand-crafted from some of the finest sherry casks within Glengoyne’s warehouses. Unlike most other single malt whiskies, Glengoyne dries its malted barley using only warm air resulting in an extremely subtle yet complex malt where all the delicate flavours are freely expressed.
The Glengoyne Distillery - highly regarded as Scotland’s most beautiful distillery in Dumgoyne near Loch Lomond – runs its stills slower than any other distillery, supporting the claim that Glengoyne genuinely is “Worth the Wait”.
The Glengoyne 20cl bottlings will be available from July in all good specialists. RRP ranges from £15.99 for the 10yo, £17.99 for 15yo and £26.99 for the 18yo. For more information, please visit www.glengoyne.com.
