Jura Distillery: A limited edition release for Fèis Ìle 2024
Published Date: 23rd May 2024
Jura Whisky proudly presents a new rare Limited Edition release to celebrate this year’s Fèis Ìle festival, a gathering of whisky fans who come from across the globe to experience the island whisky making communities of Islay and Jura.
Jura whisky is at the heart of an unbreakable bond between this Scottish island, its people, and our distillery. This Fèis Ìle release is a celebration of this unique tiny island community and the fantastic whisky we make here. This is an extremely limited release of less than 200 bottles, exclusively available to the whisky-lovers who visit Jura Distillery in-person during Fèis Ìle.
Joe Ricketts, Whisky Maker, commented: “In this release for Fèis Ìle we’ve created a fantastic bottling that really showcases the distillery’s character. On the nose, Jura’s characteristic flavour come together – fruity notes of citrus peels and peach alongside mineral, oily characteristics that capture the coastal environment and a hint of toasted cereal.
“On the palate, peach crumble, vanilla pod and a slight zing of preserved lemon, rounding off with subtle mineral notes together with gorse flower, spearmint and Williams pear.”
Jura Distillery Manager Graham Geddes added: “People who know Jura, know our whisky. Our island community appreciate each visitor, which is why this release is exclusively available to those that join us for our whisky festival. Jura quietly makes brilliant whisky. This release is no exception, celebrating the start of the summer with its fruity, balanced characteristics, ideal to share with friends and family. With our whisky we want to offer as many people as possible a truly unique flavour of our island home, and we feel this Fèis Ìle release does exactly this.”
