Isle of Arran Distillery News
Our Distillery and Visitor Centre has been very busy over the summer months and we have once again had the pleasure of welcoming a record number of visitors to our beautiful corner of Scotland - coming from near and far. We have hosted a number of events during the course of the season, most notably our second annual Open Day which was wet and windy but a fantastic day. Our 2011 Open Day Bottling was warmly received and the last remaining bottles are still for sale in our web shop, so if you're still looking for that extra special bottle to add to your collection, grab this one quick before they're all gone. You may also want to mark your diaries for next year's Open Day which is confirmed for Saturday 30th June 2012! Tickets will be for sale on our web site next year although it is worth booking accomodation now, as rooms will fill up fast!
James and the Distillery Team have been working hard to produce nearly 150,000 litres of new spirit and this has all been laid down in our precious casks and put safely to bed in our warehouses ready to work it's own brand of magic over the next 10 years or so.
It's a tough job but someone has to do it....Our Distillery Team

Arran on the Road
The whisky festival season is now firmly upon us and the sales team are out and about as usual, taking our Arran Malt to events all over the world. There is list of events here on our web site so that you can keep up to date with our travels. We have the pleasure of welcoming Paulina Kwiatowska to our Sales Team and she, Euan, Andy and Jaclyn will be visiting all of our major worldwide markets over the next four months and making sure that the good spirit of Arran is felt by all those who enjoy a quality Single Malt.
Tell Us about the New Whiskies!
Of course, the new season brings new whisky releases and this year you will not be disappointed.
The long awaited 2nd Edition of Machrie Moor will be released at the beginning of September and as usual, the first bottles will be available from our own web shop. Bottled only once a year, the 1st Edition sold out in record time last year and we have had many requests from people who missed it first time around. Click here to read the tasting notes for the 2nd Edition.
Joining our core range of 10 & 14 year-old Arran Malts is our 12 Year -Old Cask Strength which will be released at the end of September. Bottled at 54.1%, this is a rich and rewarding addition to our family and displays all the original fruity island character we have come to expect of Arran, in all its intensity. A smaller batch bottling, this one is sure to go down a storm. Click here to read the tasting notes.
Finally, we have the latest bottling of our Premium Single Cask range which is also available at the beginning of September. This time we have bottled a small selection of our best Sherry Butts from 1997 and at 15 years old, cask strength these really are the crown jewels of our Distillery.
For information on all of these new bottlings and indeed our entire range, including offers on our stunning Cream Liqueur Arran Gold, make your way to our web shop.
Finallly, we would like to thank you all for following our progress. It is our great pleasure to be in touch with many of you and we welcome your e-mails and feedback to email@example.com or indeed on our Facebook and Twitter pages. We have buit up a good community of friends on these pages and enjoy sharing our news and tips on collectable editions of our whiskies on a regular basis, so we hope you will come and join us there if you haven't already!
