Laphroaig® Reintroduces 15-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky After More Than A Decade

The launch marks the return of this age statement to the Islay distillery’s permanent range, offering a more complex take on Laphroaig’s signature style

Islay, Scotland June 2026: Laphroaig, one of the world’s most distinctive single malts, has brought back Laphroaig 15-Year-Old as a new permanent addition to the iconic distillery’s collection.

Matured for fifteen years in American oak bourbon casks, the new expression captures the unmistakable intensity of Laphroaig, combining the whisky maker’s iconic smokiness, sea salt and a surprising touch of sweetness. The extra years of maturation allow the distillery’s signature peat smoke to soften and integrate, creating a beautifully balanced spirit.

On the nose, the whisky opens with vibrant citrus aromas, layered with subtle dried hay, BBQ smoke and soft hints of vanilla and clove. The palate brings a bold wave of sea salt and smoke, complemented by cracked black pepper and warming spices, including cinnamon, cloves and coriander. A fruitiness emerges towards the finish, with juicy peach and ripe grapefruit providing a refreshing lift. The finish is long, smoky and mouthwatering, balancing savoury depth with gentle sweetness.

Alongside the 10-Year-Old and 18-Year-Old we can now complete the set. This whisky shows how beautifully Laphroaig evolves with time, resulting in markedly different complexity. The peat smoke has mellowed and married bright citrus and gentle sweetness, while still retaining the unmistakably bold character that defines Laphroaig.”

The whisky will be available in the UK, the US, Germany, China, Canada, the Nordics and France. Bottled at 46% ABV and £85 GBP / $89 USD RSP, Laphroaig 15-Year-Old will be available to buy on Laphroaig.com from 29th June and in the Whisky Shop exclusively from 1st July.
