Kilchoman 13 Years Old Limited Edition Release
Published Date: 26th February 2025
Following the landmark release of Kilchoman’s 16 Year Old in 2023, they now have another age statement to share.
This limited release has been matured for 13 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, octaves and calvados casks. The whisky exudes an abundance of juicy fresh fruits, intense sweetness and waves of Islay maritime peat smoke.
Tasting Notes for Kilchoman 13 Years Old Limited Edition Release
- Nose: Fragrant and delicate with bursting notes of fresh pineapple, hibiscus and lemon sherbets.
- Palate: Herbaceous with undertones of dried apple granola, caramelised puffed wheat and buttered popcorn.
- Finish: Light and graceful with reminiscence of orchard fruits and zesty freshness.
“After the overwhelming response to our 16 Year Old, I’m excited to announce the release of another age statement Kilchoman – The 13 Years Old. The ex-bourbon casks make up the large part of the vatting, lending that unmistakable Kilchoman character, while the addition of calvados casks, which may surprise a few people, infuses vibrant green apple and fresh fruit notes into the mix.”
Although our older stocks remain limited, we’re excited to share a variety of aged Kilchoman expressions with you over the next few years,” Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder.
The 13 Years Old (70cl, 50% vol.) will be available in the UK and across Europe from this week, priced between £85 and £90. It will be landing on shelves further afield over the coming weeks.
