Single Malt Scottish Whisky Listing for Braes of Glenlivet (Braeval)
On this page of Single Malt Whisky are the whiskies from Braes of Glenlivet. There are only two on this page, but both as excellent drams. The Braes of Glenlivet is near the main distillery of Glenlivet which we all know about. It was built in 1974, but sadly closed in 2002 for six year until it reopened in 2008. The distillery produced some very fine malts, but no official bottling were released and most of its whisky went into make other whiskies like 100 pipers and the passport blends. This distillery was also known by the name Braeval after Seagram bought the distillery because it did not want its name confused with the flagship malt of Glenlivet. There distillery since it reopened in 2008 has bottled malts under the name of Braeval as it was thought the name was like the sister distillery of The Glenlivet and did not want to confuse people.
