Tomintoul Scotch Whisky Distillery
Tomintoul Scotch Whisky Distillery was built in 1965 and is located in the Speyside region of Scotland. The distillery is near Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland and in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
Planet Whiskies visited this Tomintoul distillery in February 2024 for a two-day tour. We were very impressed with the distillery setup and what they are trying to achieve within the whisky industry.
At present, the Master Distiller of Tomintoul is Robert Fleming, a fourth-generation Speyside distiller who has been Tomintoul's custodian for more than 30 years. The Master Blender is Iain Forteath, who was our host for two days on the distillery tour. His knowledge and passion for Whisky and Tomintoul is outstanding and works tirelessly helping promote Tomintoul around the world.

Tomintoul Distillery Tour
Planet Whiskies had a fantastic trip up to the Speyside Whisky region of Scotland in February 2024 to visit Angus Dundee Distillers Tomintoul Distillery within the Cairngorms National Park. Then, after the distillery tour and tasting, which was hosted by Iain Forteath, the master blender of Tomintoul, our press group travelled and stayed the night at the recently bought country home of Tomintoul House in the Aultmore Estate (previously called Aultmore House).
