Scapa Scotch Whisky Distillery
Scapa Scotch Whisky Distillery was built in 1885 and is in the Orkney Islands to the north of Scotland near the shoreline of Scapa Flow and is part of the Chevis Brothers portfolio. The distillery produces Scapa 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky and Scapa 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky.
The packaging for the 16 Year Old malt that come out of this distillery was redesigned in 2009 and show nature colours and beauty of the Orcadian landscape.
The malts that come out of this distillery are uncommonly sweet and silky which is very unusal for an Island Malt. The key markets for all the malts that come out of this distillery are as follows ;France, Germany, UK, USA, Canada and the global travel retail of duty free.
This distillery received an award for it's malt in 2009 when it was awarded a Gold medal at both the 2009 International Spirits CHallange and the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
